Philologist and litterateur. She was born in Volos in 1940. Graduate of the Greek-French “Saint Joseph” School of Volos, and of the Greek Conservatory of Volos (piano and music theory). Degrees in a) Greek Literature, b) History and Archaeology, and c) French Literature. Postgraduate studies at the University “Georgia Augusta” in Göttingen, with professors such as Alexandros Sideras, Ulrich Schindel and Klaus Nickau. Ph.D. in University of Athens (in Modern Greek Literature, specialized in the work of Angelos Sikelianos). Now Professor at the Postgraduate Program “Methodological research in texts of Greek modern literature (19th-20th centuries)” at the Modern Greek Literature Section of the same Department. She also taught as a Visiting Professor in the Department of Oriental Languages at Sorbonne (INALCO). She has participated in many national and international conferences, with published papers in proceedings or in specialized journals. Her literary work includes over one hundred scientific studies and reviews, as well as five books on Angelos Sikelianos and one on Eva Sikelianou, among others. She is a member of several committees, including: a) the Educational Society (Arsakeia Schools), b) the Greek Society of Comparative Literature (founding member), c) the International Comparative Literature Association, d) the French Society of Greek Modern Literature, e) the Spanish Society of Greek Modern Literature, and f) the German Society of Greek Modern Literature. She is also a member of the State Prize Award for Literature of the Ministry of Culture and a member of the Central Committee of General Examinations of the Ministry of Education. For her work she has received the Award of the Academy of Athens, and she was named “Honorary Citizen of the City of Volos” for promoting the intellectual heritage of her hometown.
