Musicís Humane Predestination. Dangers of Musicís Dissociation with Man, Today

Translation in Greek: Markos Tsetsos
The speakerís main thesis is that music is a human creation addressed to human beings. The creator of music is communicating a message both personal and collective. The speaker supports his belief in music as a message, with references to the modes music was perceived since antiquity and up to the first decades of the 20th century. Musicís humane aim was seriously questioned by supporters of the Avantgarde, who declared their unconditional belief in technology, while denouncing all human factor in creation. The speaker critically examines, within this new framework of dehumanized music, recent trends of appreciating music as a scientific or political object.
